Test Lead

As Test Lead in Very's Fulfilment team, you will steer testing across multiple projects to ensure releases are safe, reliable and effective. You’ll shape testing strategy, methodology and standards across both agile and waterfall environments, while staying close enough to details to support test execution. You’ll provide stakeholders with clear progress and risk views to inform go/no-go decisions. This role offers impact by improving release readiness and operational testing in a large-scale distribution operation.

• Act as the main testing contact and translate requirements into controlled testing activity
• Define test strategies, scope, plans, scripts, acceptance criteria and go/no-go measures
• Lead User Acceptance Testing and regression testing across multiple projects
• Track results, defects, risks and issues and provide release readiness insights to stakeholders
• Coordinate additional testing resources to keep activity focused and efficient
• Translate functional requirements into tests reflecting an operational environment
• Investigate issues, recommend solutions and escalate risks timely
• Support new releases with documentation and input into standard operating materials

• Experience testing core systems in large-scale automated logistics or warehouse operations
• Strong knowledge of system testing, regression testing and UAT
• Experience creating testing strategies, plans, scripts and acceptance criteria
• Familiarity with test management or technical tools such as SOAPUI and AWS
• Experience working with technical and business stakeholders across project, development and operations
• Ability to identify, explain and challenge differences between expected and actual system behaviour
• Experience with KNAPP WCS/WMS or Dürkopp systems is valuable
