Overview

In this role you will lead a centralised testing function within a multi-system IT environment, shaping test strategy and ensuring quality across internal and external teams. You will build and coach a test team, drive integration testing and automation, and oversee the full testing lifecycle from planning to UAT. Your work will support deployment readiness and risk management across global stakeholders. This is an opportunity to elevate testing capabilities and impact delivery quality in a complex landscape.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of testing professionals across multiple projects
  • Develop and implement test strategies, plans, processes and quality standards
  • Establish integration testing across several systems and supplier developments
  • Build automated regression testing capabilities to protect core functionality
  • Oversee system, integration and user acceptance testing
  • Support business stakeholders with UAT and deployment readiness
  • Manage external suppliers, delivery risks and testing dependencies
  • Define testing metrics and reporting to measure quality and continuous improvement
  • Communicate testing progress and risks to senior stakeholders
  • Evaluate testing tools and processes to improve efficiency and ROI
  • Coordinate with international IT teams, including overseas travel as required
Key requirements
  • Proven experience managing test teams in complex tech environments
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and SDLC
  • Experience across system, integration, regression and UAT testing
  • Practical experience with test automation tools
  • Understanding of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) delivery
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and stakeholder relationships
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Recognised software testing certification and a relevant degree or equivalent experience
