Overview

As a Test Portfolio Manager within the Test & Validation Management Team, you’ll safeguard customer IT environments by overseeing end-to-end testing across releases. You’ll manage the test portfolio, govern artefacts, and provide cost models and escalation support. The role combines strategy, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to improve testing maturity and facilitate secure, reliable software delivery. A key hook is shaping testing for Windows 10 Evergreen and broader test delivery improvements in a large services context.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall Test Portfolio within the TVM function
  • Validate project requests, provide resource/cost estimates
  • Ensure portfolio adherence to SLAs/KPIs and process norms
  • Track BAU/TRS costs for profitability
  • Review and approve test management artefacts across portfolio
  • Escalation point for projects/programmes under management
  • Participate in monthly Test Governance meetings
  • Provide cost models for Managed Service bids (Pre-Sales)
  • Support sales with technical implementation knowledge
  • Create/maintain process, procedure, control documentation
  • Act as technical escalation point for BAU testing activities
  • Provide guidance to BAU testing teams across test delivery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions
  • Share thought leadership on Windows 10 Evergreen testing
Key requirements
  • Knowledge of good test artefact creation (strategies, planning, reporting)
  • Strong team planning and communication skills
  • Ability to present ideas to technical teams, customers and management
  • Experience with Test Management tools (HP QLM, Jira, SpiraTeam)
  • Experience with delivery tools (Workspace One, SCCM, Azure) and policy tools (Active Directory, GPO, Workspace One UEM)
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing qualifications
