Overview

In this on-site role, you will ensure the safe, reliable operation of test labs and rigs by diagnosing faults and keeping equipment available. You’ll work with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to maintain critical test capabilities and support upgrades to rigs. The role combines hands-on fault resolution, routine checks, and preventative maintenance to uphold safety and operational standards. This is a practical, proactive opportunity to directly impact test throughput and lab reliability.

Responsibilities
  • React to test rig/lab process issues and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
  • Repair and resolve issues, escalating complex problems as needed
  • Support the build of new test rigs and upgrades to existing equipment
  • Complete routine equipment checks, calibration activity and audits
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on rigs and supporting equipment
  • Help ensure the lab environment remains safe, compliant and operationally effective
Key requirements
  • Maintaining equipment in a test or production environment (electro-mechanical assemblies / test rig systems)
  • Reading and working from mechanical & electrical drawings, schematics and layouts
  • National Instruments control systems (not essential)
  • Working with liquid or gas fuel systems or similar (Not essential)
