Trade Support Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)

Duration: 12 months

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Trade Support Officer to be responsible for working with a dynamic team processing transactions within our Securities Lending Operations team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Close coordination is required with Front Trading Desks and other internal & external stakeholders.
• Other responsibilities include collection of borrower lending fees, client revenue processing and reconciliation across all platforms and systems.
• Additionally, this desk will be required to support the Bank of Canada Triparty program.

Must-Have Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in financial instruments, capital markets and operations.
• Demonstrated strategic team player with the ability to grow and motivate others
• The ability to adhere to high levels of accuracy in a fast paced environment
• Strong MS Office knowledge Process and time management skills
• Advanced usage of MS Office Word and Excel (Vlookup, pivot, macro)

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• VBA coding and macro development is an asset
• Operational and Client Service Experience
• Securities Lending experience

Soft Skills:

• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong team player
• Time management and organization skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
