Trading Application Support Analyst - Fixed Income & Commodities

Overview

In this role you will provide Level 1–2 production support for Fixed Income, Commodities, and FX trading systems, acting as the frontline for EMEA traders. You will support Millennium’s proprietary trading platform, participate in testing and implementation with Portfolio Manager teams, and drive issues to resolution. You’ll automate manual processes, manage incidents and changes, and coordinate across brokers, Risk, Operations, and IT. This role offers exposure to multiple asset classes and a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on risk controls and continuous learning.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 production support for trading systems (Fixed Income, Commodities, FX)
  • Test and implement algorithms with Portfolio Manager teams for the proprietary platform
  • Resolve trade and application issues across platforms and escalate as needed
  • Identify and automate manual processes to improve efficiency and controls
  • Manage incidents and changes with clear documentation and knowledge base
  • Coordinate communications across management, brokers, development, Risk, and Operations
  • Coordinate onboarding of trading platforms with vendors and internal teams
  • Manage user onboarding, including permissions, limits, test trades, and training
Key requirements
  • 3+ years in trade support or business analysis in a sell-side, buy-side, or trading firm
  • Experience supporting fixed income and derivatives trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, TT, Tradeweb, BidFX, WebICE) is a plus
  • Exposure to multiple asset classes is advantageous
  • Unix and Windows knowledge with intermediate SQL skills
  • Familiarity with Python or Java and API concepts (HTTP, REST) is a plus
  • Familiarity with middle/back-office systems, risk platforms, and market data services is advantageous
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced trading environment
