Overview
In this role you will support a high-frequency trading tech stack by maintaining Linux-based systems, hardware, networks, and automation tooling. You will join a close-knit UK team focused on expanding infrastructure and supporting low-latency electronic trading. You’ll troubleshoot across hardware and in-house software, develop tooling to improve operations, and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues. This is a hands-on, tech-forward environment with mentoring and opportunities to advance in a fast-paced financial tech setting.
Responsibilities- Maintain and troubleshoot Linux-based infrastructure and hardware
- Plan and implement hardware/software footprints; assist with procurement
- Develop tooling and automation to streamline operations
- Manage and optimize core networking concepts and data-centre architecture
- Triage and resolve complex system and network issues across the stack
- Support deployment, build processes, and software tooling for trading systems
- Collaborate with developers and traders in a globally distributed team
- Adapt to expansion plans, including office relocation and infrastructure scaling
- Bachelor in Computer Science or related technical field
- Strong understanding of Linux
- Proficiency in Python
- Operations experience
- Ability to triage, prioritise and troubleshoot complex network and systems issues
- Experience with hardware management and procurement
- Development of tooling and automation
- Solid networking knowledge (TCP, LAN/WAN, data-centre concepts)
- Able to start at 6 a.m.
