Job Summary The Business Readiness Lead drives successful SAP transformation by combining organizational change management, digital adoption, business analysis, testing leadership, and training enablement. This role is responsible for helping stakeholders adopt new SAP solutions, improving business readiness, and sustaining long-term value through practical, data-driven, and AI-enabled adoption strategies. Acting as a key bridge between business, IT, and end users, the Business Readiness Lead ensures solutions are understood, tested, adopted, and embedded into day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of end-to-end change and adoption strategies aligned to SAP Activate and Syntax delivery approaches.
Perform stakeholder and change impact analyses to identify adoption risks and design targeted interventions.
Partner with customers and internal teams to update change management plans based on business impact and readiness findings.
Design and manage digital adoption campaigns using tools such as WalkMe or similar platforms, including guided walkthroughs, smart tips, onboarding flows, task lists, and in-app communications.
Use adoption dashboards and analytics to measure user engagement, proficiency, and process completion rates.
Collaborate with SAP Functional Leads, business process owners, and subject matter experts to ensure guidance reflects real business processes.
Develop communication strategies that support stakeholder engagement, readiness, and adoption throughout the project lifecycle.
Coach sponsors, project leaders, and change agents to actively support transformation and user adoption.
Facilitate knowledge transfer between project teams, operational teams, and end users.
Lead requirements gathering and fit-to-standard workshops with business users, process owners, and SAP Functional Leads.
Document business processes, user stories, and functional requirements, and trace them through build, test, and training activities.
Work hands-on in the SAP system to validate solution design, run end-to-end transactions, and identify process gaps.
Define, develop, and execute train-the-trainer programs using in-person, digital, and blended learning methods.
Build role-based learning programs that may include classroom training, e-learning, simulations, and digital adoption content.
Coordinate training content creation and ensure materials are process-driven and aligned to the SAP solution where possible.
Manage training logistics, participation tracking, and readiness reporting across multiple geographies and languages.
Plan and lead testing cycles, including system integration testing and user acceptance testing, with clear strategy, scripts, and entry/exit criteria.
Coordinate business testers, track defects, and drive issue resolution with functional and technical teams.
Reuse validated test scripts as a foundation for training materials and in-app guidance.
Establish and monitor KPIs for change management, readiness, delivery completion, and adoption success.
Analyze post-go-live metrics and recommend reinforcement activities, additional enablement, and ongoing support actions.
Apply gamification, microlearning, and other modern enablement techniques to sustain proficiency and motivation.
Identify opportunities to use AI to improve adoption, accelerate content creation, and measure adoption ROI.
Required Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Change Management, Organizational Development, Education, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in organizational change management, digital adoption, or blended training program management for large-scale technology projects.
Hands-on SAP system experience, preferably with S/4HANA, including the ability to run transactions, validate configuration, and support users directly in the system.
Proven experience leading testing cycles, including SIT and UAT, and supporting business analysis activities on SAP implementations.
Demonstrated experience deploying and managing a digital adoption platform such as WalkMe or a comparable solution.
Experience applying AI in change, training, or adoption use cases, such as AI-generated content, AI-enabled guidance, or AI-driven analytics.
Strong data-driven decision-making skills with the ability to interpret adoption metrics and convert insights into action.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills across business, IT, and end-user groups.
Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, process flows, and testable scenarios.
Experience supporting client-facing implementation activities across multiple regions.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in change management, such as PROSCI.
Experience in learning design, instructional technology, or learning experience design.
Background in gamification and microlearning strategies.
Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM, Jira, or similar tools for defect and delivery tracking.
Experience working in global, multilingual environments.
Demonstrated ability to improve adoption outcomes through continuous improvement and modern delivery methods.
An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Change Management, Organizational Development, Education, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
Change management certification such as PROSCI preferred.
Additional certifications or formal training in instructional design, learning experience design, training delivery, or digital adoption platforms are an asset.
SAP-related certifications are beneficial but not required.
