Transportation Finance Controller

Lead finance operations for a transportation and logistics organization in Mississauga, Ontario, working on-site with accounting and cash flow oversight.

This permanent, full-time Finance Controller role suits a senior finance professional with transportation, trucking, logistics, or shipping container experience. You will oversee accounting operations, guide a multi-person team, improve controls, and provide financial insight to leadership and operating departments. The work combines technical accounting with practical business judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day finance and accounting operations
• Oversee payables, receivables, billing, payroll, and reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements, indicators, analyses, and variance reports
• Monitor cash flow, risks, cost pressures, and performance
• Mentor staff and improve processes and internal controls

Requirements:

• Five-plus years in finance management or controllership
• Experience independently leading an accounting or finance team
• Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and variance analysis experience
• Hands-on close, general ledger, journal entry, and reconciliation experience
• Strong accounting, tax, communication, and leadership capabilities
