American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist with 2+ years experience and ARRT or NMTCB certification for a hospital imaging unit.
Details- Hospital-based MRI unit with two 1.5T Siemens Aera scanners
- Performs neuro, MSK, and abdominal scans, plus specialty exams including breast, enterography, and pacemaker patients
- Does not perform cardiac, prostate, CSF flow studies, or MSA extremity imaging
- Regularly scans ICU patients using MRI safe ventilator, IVAC, and monitoring equipment
- Does not perform conscious sedation
- Uses Epic EMR
- Night shift schedule, 4x9-hour shifts from 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Thursday through Sunday
- Travelers are first to float
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience (candidates with 1.5 years and strong Level I/large hospital experience may be considered)
- ARRT or NMTCB certification required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with Siemens scanners required
- Cardiac imaging experience is a plus
- Experience with IV starts strongly preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Level I trauma, teaching hospital, and community hospital experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Charcoal grey scrubs required
- Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing, and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing
- Maximum of 10 RTO days per contract; no RTO allowed during initial weeks of assignment
- More than one call-off results in termination; no call/no show results in immediate termination
- Permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space with no pass required
- Past employees must have a 366-day separation from employment with this health system before returning as a traveler; PRN employees may not accept travel assignments while actively employed PRN
