Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for an outpatient imaging center, requiring ARRT-MR certification and 3-5 years of MRI experience.

Details

• Outpatient imaging center setting offsite from the main hospital campus
• Average of 15-16 outpatient MRI scans per day
• Equipment includes Hitachi open MRI and GE 1.5T scanner
• Uses Epic and Visage PACS systems
• Days shift, 4x10s from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend hours as required by the facility
• Call requirements as required by the facility, including potential additional shifts
• May be required to float to another offsite imaging location

Requirements

• ARRT-MR license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• 3-5 years of MRI experience required, including neuro, MSK, and body imaging
• Candidates with 3 years of experience may be considered if they have open Hitachi MRI experience
• Open Hitachi and GE MRI experience preferred
• Must be able to push/pull up to 46 lbs of force, carry 25 lbs, grip up to 50 lbs, and pinch grip 6 lbs
• Occasional reaching, forward bending, and balance required
• Frequent hand coordination required

Additional Information

• Performs specialized MRI procedures resulting in diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
• Provides patient care essential to MRI procedures and applies principles of MR safety
• Black scrubs required with no logos
• Crocs or open-toe/open-heel shoes are not permitted
• Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1, with no declinations accepted
• Orientation occurs on day shift, and traveler must be available the entire week for orientation
• Positive, friendly, outgoing, and patient-centric personality valued, with focus on excellence
• Local candidates accepted
