American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ED Observation unit, requiring step-down/PCU experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Requirements
- Active RN license, Single State or Compact (CO or compact license required)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA) that do not expire before start date
- Minimum 1 year of experience in ED Observation or step-down/PCU setting required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
Responsibilities
- Work in the ED Observation unit of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts,
- Rotating weekends required
- Floating required to other Tele units, Ortho surgical trauma, and acuity adaptable step-down units (e.g., insulin drips, sepsis patients)
- May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shiftUses Epic for charting
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
- Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment to patients
- Monitor and review treatment plans and document per hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Candidates must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for consideration
