Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - CST FA

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical First Assistant with cardiac experience for a hospital operating room position requiring 3-5 years of experience and robotics skills.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Surgical First Assistant required
• Proficient in vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting
• Cardiac and robotics surgical skills required
• NBSTSA, NCCSA, or ABSA certification required
• License required if applicable
• First-time travelers considered if experience requirements are met

Responsibilities

• Operating room setting performing 5-6 cardiac/thoracic cases per day
• Day shift options of 4x10 hours (6:45-17:15) or 3x12 hours (6:45-19:15)
• Weekday and weekend on-call duties required, typically one weeknight and one weekend per week
• May float within the facility system
• Holidays required as part of call coverage
• Assist in cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures as First Assistant
• Work alongside PAs and other First Assistants who share call responsibilities
• Scrubs provided
• Credentialing process for this facility can take up to 90 days, so candidates should have flexible start date availability
• Candidates must live within 100 miles of the facility, with consideration given to those 75-99 miles away
• Open to discussing a blocked schedule during interview
