Overview

As Tribe Test Engineer, you lead the Tribe's testing strategy and quality approach within an Agile environment, driving governance and cross-squad testing excellence. You partner with Product, Scrum, Release and Automation teams to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle and enable rapid, reliable software releases. You will guide non-functional testing, automation adoption, and testing governance while shaping end-to-end testing across complex landscapes. Your role combines strategic leadership with hands-on improvement of testing practices, including AI-enabled enhancements, to deliver high-quality outcomes at pace.

Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain the Tribe Test Strategy aligned with enterprise quality objectives
  • Define best practices for functional, non-functional, and automation testing across the Tribe
  • Drive continuous improvement to testing effectiveness and predictability
  • Act as the quality authority for Tribe-level initiatives, Epics and Releases
  • Coordinate end-to-end testing and ensure test data, environments, and tooling readiness
  • Coordinate Release Regression and exploratory testing across squads
  • Provide testing progress reporting, risk management, and quality metrics to stakeholders
  • Coach and mentor Test Engineers and squad members in testing practices and automation adoption
  • Support Go/No-Go decisions with quality assessments
Key requirements
  • Extensive experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Proven experience leading testing across multiple Agile teams
  • Experience creating and governing enterprise-level Test Strategies
  • Experience coordinating end-to-end testing across complex systems
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance testing activities and drive automation
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
  • Experience in Financial Services or other regulated environments
  • Experience managing testing risks, dependencies and quality reporting
