UI Developer

We are currently seeking an experienced UI Developer to join a high-profile programme with a leading global retail organisation based in London.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of modern, customer-facing digital products, leveraging React , Next.js , and modern front-end technologies to deliver outstanding user experiences at scale. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Backend Engineers to build engaging, performant, and accessible web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance modern web applications using React and Next.js .
• Build responsive, pixel-perfect user interfaces from UX/UI designs and wireframes.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure a seamless user experience across desktop and mobile devices.
• Optimise applications for performance, scalability, accessibility, and SEO.
• Work closely with backend development teams to integrate APIs and services.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end best practices and development standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve existing user interfaces and applications.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Strong commercial experience developing UI applications with React.js .
• Experience building server‑rendered and static applications with Next.js .
• Strong experience with HTML5 , CSS3 , SASS/SCSS , and responsive design principles.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
• Strong understanding of component‑based architecture and reusable design patterns.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git .
• Strong focus on code quality, performance optimisation, and accessibility.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API.
• Experience working with design systems and component libraries.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
• Experience within large‑scale enterprise or retail environments.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
