Overview

In this role you will help build a cutting-edge frontend for a disruptive big data service in the financial markets. You will work within a small, cross-functional team to deliver new UI features, maintain and port from legacy code, and shape the end-user experience. You’ll also engage with a GraphQL API layer and influence technical direction in a fast-paced, test-driven environment. This is an opportunity to impact how investors analyse and collaborate on investments through a modern, React-based frontend.

Responsibilities
  • Prototype and deliver UI features with the product team
  • Collaborate with backend developers to add new capabilities
  • Maintain visual consistency across the UI
  • Port features from a legacy Angular codebase when needed
  • Engage with GraphQL API (Node.js/Apollo) to interact with backend services
  • Contribute to an agile, test-driven development process
  • evangelise and prototype new technologies to influence architecture
Key requirements
  • JavaScript or TypeScript
  • HTML and CSS
  • Experience with Node.js, GraphQL and REST
  • Proficiency with React, Redux, Styled Components, Apollo GraphQL
  • UX and visual design skills are a plus
