Overview

As Lead Software Engineer on the Vida team within the Corporate and Investment Bank Markets, you drive the delivery of secure, scalable technology products in an agile setting. You shape architecture and code quality while maintaining operational stability and security. You collaborate with internal and external partners to evaluate designs and influence technology choices. You work to build a diverse, inclusive team culture and lead communities of practice to adopt cutting-edge approaches. This is a chance to impact mission-critical financial technology at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews others' work
  • Solves complex technical problems and designs novel software solutions
  • Automates remediation to improve stability and reliability of applications
  • Leads evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams on architectures and applicability
  • Drives adoption of new technologies through communities of practice
  • Contributes to a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect
  • Owns aspects of software design, testing, and operational processes to ensure reliability
  • Collaborates with backend teams to design scalable, reusable RESTful APIs
  • Supports CI/CD practices and application resiliency with a focus on security
  • Mentors and guides less-experienced engineers in the team
Key requirements
  • Significant commercial experience developing UI’s with hands-on React
  • Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in one or more programming languages
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies (CI/CD, Application Resiliency, Security)
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Experience with developing, debugging and automated testing (e.g., React Testing Library, Cypress)
  • Experience collaborating with backend teams on scalable RESTful APIs
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems
