UI / NextJS Developer

5 days onsite (Glasgow) Must.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior UI/Frontend Developer with strong experience in React.js and Next.js, particularly in building reusable React Service Components and configuration-driven dynamic layouts.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing scalable Front End architectures where UI components and page layouts can be dynamically rendered and configured based on business requirements, metadata, or external configuration.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop modern, scalable web applications using React.js and Next.js.
Build reusable, modular and maintainable React UI components.
Develop configuration-driven/metadata-driven dynamic layouts.
Implement dynamic page rendering based on JSON, API responses, schemas, or configuration files.
Develop and maintain React Service Components and component-based UI architecture.
Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, Back End engineers and other stakeholders.
Integrate Front End applications with REST APIs and Back End services.
Build responsive, accessible and high-performance user interfaces.
Implement Server Side rendering (SSR), static generation (SSG) and other Next.js capabilities where appropriate.
Develop reusable design-system components and maintain consistency across applications.
Troubleshoot UI issues and optimize Front End performance.
Write clean, scalable and testable code using TypeScript/JavaScript.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to Front End architecture and technical decisions.
Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience developing reusable React components and component-based architectures.
Experience with dynamic/configuration-driven UI layouts.
Experience building metadata-driven or JSON-driven interfaces.
Strong understanding of Front End architecture and design patterns.
Experience integrating REST APIs.
Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web development.
Experience with Git and modern Front End development practices.
Preferred Skills

Experience with React Service Components.
Experience with design systems and component libraries.
Storybook experience.
Experience with Redux, Zustand, Context API or similar state-management frameworks.
Experience with Next.js SSR, SSG and ISR.
Experience with Front End testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library or Cypress.
Experience with CI/CD and cloud-based application deployment.
Understanding of web performance optimization and accessibility standards.
Experience Level

6+ years of Frontend/UI development experience, with strong recent experience in React.js and Next.js.
