Overview

As Data Centre Manager for UK & Ireland, you will own strategic relationships with hyperscale, colocation and enterprise data centre clients, main contractors, and tiered subcontractors across multiple geographies. You will build and govern a forward-looking opportunity pipeline, influence design choices, product selection and commercial strategy to maximise revenue and margin. You will champion Atkore’s portfolio and services, ensuring the right solution is specified for each market and site. This role focuses on growing specification and adoption of Atkore systems on key programmes, while acting as a trusted advisor to contractors and distributors.

Responsibilities
  • Map the UK & Ireland DC landscape and prioritize high-growth regions and frameworks
  • Track competitor activity and market trends; translate insights into pursuit strategies and enablement
  • Engage early with consultants, specifiers and contractors; provide engineering-led answers and deliver CPD
  • Own project and contract pricing strategies, including framework/cover agreements with the distribution network
  • Negotiate proposals aligned to customer needs by geography and programme
  • Collaborate with sales, projects and production to drive forecasting and de-risk delivery
  • Maintain CRM hygiene and report risks and actions across stakeholders
Key requirements
  • Proven sales success within the data centre ecosystem (hyperscale/colocation/enterprise) with ability to influence design and win specifications
  • Engineering solutions sales background with credibility to discuss load/space constraints and compliance
  • Consultative selling with value engineering and TCO focus
  • Strong relationships with main contractors, MEP subcontractors, and distribution partners
  • Commercial acumen across pricing, margin, and long-cycle negotiations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Fluent CRM use and data-driven decision making
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing is essential
  • Willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland; multiple European languages a plus
