Overview
In this role you will support business users across DRW by maintaining and evolving critical software, with opportunities to lead small projects and collaborate on practical solutions. You’ll work on legacy systems and occasional green-field initiatives, aligning technical delivery with business needs. The role includes production on-call duties and close interaction with stakeholders to improve tools used daily by the firm. You’ll contribute to a culture of autonomy, integrity, and innovation while accelerating development using AI-assisted coding and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities- Work primarily on legacy code with occasional green-field development
- Lead small projects to completion
- Collaborate with business users to improve software
- Provide production support with one weekend per month on-call
- Strong interest in and understanding of the business of proprietary trading
- Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate into technical solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in Python and/or C#
- Ability to work with AI coding assistants to accelerate development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent)
- 6+ years of Software Engineering experience
