Overview
In this role you will lead the ongoing optimisation of the Unit4 ERP financial platform to support finance operations and organisational objectives. You will collaborate with IT and external providers to ensure system stability, governance and effective data reporting. You will design roadmaps for system improvements and drive continuous learning within the team. You will act as the main liaison with the finance system provider and translate business needs into robust system solutions. This is a mission‑critical role for delivering reliable financial management and process enhancement.
Responsibilities- Lead the enhancement and optimisation of the Unit4 ERP for finance operations
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve system functionality
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for finance system improvements
- Ensure developments follow best practice in governance and internal controls
- Manage integration between Unit4 ERP and other systems and third-party apps
- Collaborate with IT and external providers to maintain stability and performance
- Stay informed on new tech and best practice to boost capability
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and second/third-line support for issues
- Design and produce financial reports meeting operational and strategic needs
- Ensure financial data is accurate and available for analytics and decision-making
- Serve as principal contact between the organisation and the finance system provider
- Identify learning needs and support continuous learning within the team
- Conduct performance reviews and develop the team
- Strong knowledge of finance operations and accounting practices; professional finance qualification preferred
- Strong technical development of Unit4 ERP
- Experience improving and developing financial systems and processes
- Experience managing projects across full lifecycle
- Proven ability to drive organisational change and delivery
- Significant experience with Unit4
- Strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into system solutions
- Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
