Urban Realm Package Manager - HS2 Main Works

In this role, you will lead the Urban Realm package within the HS2 Main Works South, guiding design, programme and budget delivery. You will manage the delivery team, including subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards. You will drive procurement, consents and pre-start documentation while mentoring site staff. You’ll run lessons learned across the team and monitor progress to inform management stakeholders. • Manage delivery team and third parties, ensuring HSE and quality standards
• Develop design, construction methodology, programme and cost
• Prepare delivery works: resources, procurement, consents, pre-start docs
• Lead and mentor site team to maximise contribution
• Run lessons learned workshops and share knowledge across assets
• Review contracts, develop site-specific programmes, forecast budgets
• Assess programme progress and productivity; report changes to Construction and Commercial Managers
• Understand subcontractor contract conditions and assist with subcontract conditions; manage subcontractor accounts with package QS team

• Building/civil engineering qualification
• Knowledge of construction techniques, sequencing and best practice
• Ability to use initiative and work independently or collaboratively
• Computer competence: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Document Control Systems, AutoCAD
• Excellent communication skills
• CSCS Card
• Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
