Urgent Care November Start Ongoing Through May or Longer

WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a qualified Urgent Care Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Neptune, New Jersey. Coverage is needed beginning in November and continuing through at least May, with the potential for an extended assignment.

This outpatient opportunity is ideal for a physician who is comfortable working independently in a busy urgent care setting. The practice offers support from clinical medical assistants and utilizes Epic for electronic medical records.

Assignment Highlights

  • Start Date: November 2026

  • Assignment Length: Through at least May 2027

  • Practice Setting: Outpatient Urgent Care

  • Schedule:

    • Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 8:00 PM

    • Saturday Sunday: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

  • Patient Volume: Approximately patients per day

  • Coverage Model: Single physician coverage

  • Clinical Support: 1 2 Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs)

  • EMR: Epic

  • Credentialing: Approximately 30 days

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a variety of acute illnesses and minor injuries.

  • Perform standard urgent care procedures.

  • Provide efficient, high-quality care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

  • Manage a diverse patient population while working independently.

  • Collaborate with clinical support staff to ensure effective patient flow and patient care.

Requirements

  • Active NJ license and DEA required

  • Experience performing standard urgent care procedures.

  • Ability to manage a high-volume patient load in a single-coverage setting.

  • Emergency Department experience is a plus.
