Full-Time Opportunity Urology MD/DO

We are seeking a qualified Urologist for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in Portsmouth, Ohio. This opportunity offers a well-equipped clinical environment, experienced support staff, and a broad range of outpatient and hospital-based urologic procedures.

The physician will provide urologic care in an established practice with dedicated procedure rooms, exam rooms, and clinical support to help facilitate efficient patient care.

Schedule & Patient Volume

• Position: Full-time locum tenens

• Location: Portsmouth, Ohio

• Office hours: Monday Thursday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

• Office patient volume: Approximately patients per day

• Hospital procedures: Approximately 4 8 procedures per day

• Office-based procedures: Varies by daily schedule

• Compensation: Rates to be determined

Clinical Facilities & Support Staff

The practice is equipped with:

• 2 procedure rooms

• 1 urodynamics (UDS) room

• 6 exam rooms

Clinical support team includes:

• 2 Nurse Practitioners

• 3 Medical Office Assistants

• 6 clinical staff members

• 1 surgery scheduler

• 1 UDS technician

Office-Based Procedures

The practice performs a variety of in-office procedures, including:

• Vasectomies

• Prostate biopsies

• Cystoscopy with stent removal

• Prostate ultrasounds

Hospital-Based Procedures

The physician may perform a broad range of procedures, including:

Prostate & urinary tract procedures

• Aquablation

• Cystoscopy

• Green-light laser prostate procedures

• High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)

• Prostate biopsies

• Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP)

• UroLift

• Optilume

• Ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy

• Laser lithotripsy

• Suprapubic catheter insertion

Kidney procedures

• Cryoablation of the prostate or kidney

• Partial nephrectomy

• Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL)

Male reproductive health

• Circumcision

• Hydrocelectomy

• Orchiectomy

• Penile plication

• Penile prosthesis

• Spermatocelectomy

• Vasectomy

Pelvic floor & reconstructive procedures

• Abdominal sacrocolpopexy

• Cystocele repair

• Rectocele repair

• Midurethral sling

• Urethral bulking

• Hernia repair

Additional procedures

• InterStim Stage I and Stage II

• Percutaneous nerve evaluation (PNE)

• SpaceOAR/fiducial placement

Office Equipment

The practice features a comprehensive range of equipment, including:

• Urodynamics (UDS) machine

• 2 monitors for cystoscopies

• 3 4 rigid cystoscopes

• 8 flexible cystoscopes

• Disposable cystoscopes with 2 monitors

• Bovie electrosurgical equipment

• Ultrasound machine with vaginal/rectal ultrasound probe

• Trophon probe disinfection system

Qualifications

• MD or DO specializing in Urology

• Appropriate medical licensure for the assignment

• Experience and procedural skills appropriate to the clinical responsibilities

• Completion of applicable facility credentialing requirements
