Locums - York, Pennsylvania, Urology Job (IMLC Accepted)

Schedule & Coverage

• 24-hour on-call coverage

• Coverage dates:

  • November 23 at 7:00 AM - November 30 at 7:00 AM, 2026

  • December 23 at 5:00 PM - December 25 at 7:00 AM, 2026

• Hospital-based practice

• Robotic surgery available

• 16 operating rooms

• EMR: Epic

Patient Population & Volume

• Primarily adult patients ages 18 and older

• Rare emergency testicular torsion cases involving younger patients may present while on call

• Typical daily volume of approximately 24-28 patients, including cystoscopy/stent procedures and office visits

• Patient volume may be lower depending on clinical needs and should generally not exceed 28 patients

Clinical Responsibilities & Procedures

• Provide urology coverage for hospital and office-based services

• Perform cystoscopy and stent procedures

• Perform required procedures, including:

  • Vasectomy

  • Cystoscopy in the operating room

  • Prostate procedures

  • Ureteroscopy in the operating room

  • Lithotripsy

  • Orchiopexy

• Additional procedures and services:

  • Vasectomy reversal is available but not mandatory

  • Penile plication

  • Penile implants, rarely required

  • Circumcision is generally managed by OB for pediatric patients, with occasional support potentially needed during call

• Supervision of NPs/PAs required, including newly hired APPs

Office Equipment

• Cystoscope and towers

• Injection equipment

Required Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Urology

• Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC Accepted

• DEA required

• Minimum of 1 year of experience
