• Medical-leave coverage with an ongoing need
• Approximately 1 Äì2 weeks per month
• Diverse clinical, surgical, and inpatient responsibilities
• Training available for select urology procedures
Assignment Details
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Ongoing
• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
• Patient volume: Approximately 10 Äì16 per shift
• EMR: Cerner
• Level II facility
• Hospital privileges required
Schedule and Call
• Clinic hours: 8:00 AM Äì5:00 PM
• Beeper call: Approximately 1:3 Äì1:4
• Call response time: 15 minutes
• Coverage includes assigned patients
Clinical Scope
• Evaluate male, female, and transgender patients
• Pediatric inpatient care, with optional pediatric clinic coverage
• Surgical first assist for open and endoscopic cases
• Robotic surgical assistance preferred
• Cystoscopy experience is helpful but not required
Potential Procedures
• Post-void residuals and voiding trials
• Indwelling and suprapubic catheter placement
• Catheter-over-wire placement
• Diagnostic cystoscopy and difficult catheter placement
• Urethral dilation and stent removal
• Cystograms
• InterStim troubleshooting
• Eligard and Firmagon injections
• Intravesical chemotherapy instillations
Providers are not required to possess every listed procedural skill. The permanent APP team can train the locum on select procedures.Support

• 7 office staff members
Requirements
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Clinical and surgical urology experience
• Comfortable seeing clinic patients, first assisting in surgery, and covering call
• Robotic experience preferred
• Cerner experience preferred
Credentialing
• Estimated timeframe: Approximately 60 days
• Temporary privileges available
