Urology Physician Assistant

Locums Urology NP/PA Marshfield, WI (No state license required to bid) Why This Role

Assignment Details
• Start: ASAP, once credentialed
• Duration: Ongoing
• Schedule: Approximately 1-2 weeks/month
• Clinic hours: 8a-5p
• Coverage type: Clinic + OR + Call
• Call: Beeper, approximately 1:3 or 1:4
• Call response: 15 minutes
• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
• Volume: Approximately 10-16 patients/shift
• Rounding: Assigned patients
• Admissions: Not required
• Patient population: Men, women, transgender patients, and pediatric inpatients
• Support: 1 RN, 3 MAs, 4 APPs, and 7 office staff
• EMR: Cerner
• Credentialing: Approximately 60 days; temporary privileges available
Clinical Details
• Outpatient Urology evaluations and follow-up
• Inpatient Urology rounding
• Surgical first assist for open and endoscopic procedures
• Robotic surgical assistance preferred
• Post-void residual testing
• Voiding trials and fill-and-void procedures
• Indwelling and suprapubic catheter placement
• Catheter placement over a wire
• Diagnostic cystoscopy and difficult catheter placement
• Urethral dilation and ureteral stent removal
• Cystograms
• InterStim troubleshooting
• Eligard/Firmagon injections
• Intravesical chemotherapy instillations
• Not all listed procedural skills are required; training available for select procedures
Requirements
• BC/BE Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• No specific state license required to bid
• Clinical and surgical Urology experience required
• Surgical first assist experience required
• Comfortable providing beeper call coverage
• Robotic surgery experience preferred
• Cystoscopy experience helpful but not required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Hospital/surgical privileges required
