UX Designer (Contract, Hybrid Remote/Onsite "Toronto")

The UX Designer’s responsibilities during thisphase are to build an understanding of the problem space/statement, the longand short-term business goals, and the user and business needs.

• Facilitatethe Kickoff meeting with the project team to produce such outputs as:
• Business Model Canvas: 5 Whys, UserPersonas, Stakeholder Mapping, Strategy Map,
• Short- and Long-Term Goals, Fears andChallenges, Problem Statement
• Facilitateuser research activities to produce such outputs as:
• User interview topic Maps, a summary ofinterrelated topics for the user interview
• User Interview Scripts to plan andguide user discussion
• User Interview Synthesis (collection,aggregation and analysis) of written observations recorded during each interview
• User research findings report
• UserStoryboard to communicate a story through images displayed in a sequence ofpanels that chronologically maps the story’s main events.
• TechnicalService Blueprint,a diagram that displays the entire process of servicedelivery including support systems by listing all the activities that happen ateach stage, performed by the different roles involved
• Definedbusiness Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Optionallyconduct Google Ventures five (5) Day Design Sprint (or variation). Thissprintisa five (5) day process for answering critical business questionsthroughdesign, prototyping, and testing ideas with customers
• Produce“clickable” prototypes of multiple possible solutions
• Validate"clickable” prototypes with users through usability testing sessions andproduce research findings report
• Iterate(improve) on “clickable” prototypes with insights garnered from researchfindings report
• Userinterview topic maps, a summary of interrelated topics for the user interview
• Userinterview scripts to plan and guide user discussion
• Userinterview synthesis (collection, aggregation and analysis) of writtenobservations recorded during each interview

Requirements

• Extensive experience in using UXdesign best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding ofmobile-first and responsive design.
  
• Ability to iterate your designsand solutions efficiently and intelligently.
• 4+ years of relevant experience inparticipating in complex projects (products) of different sizes, ensuringalignment to plans, best practices and incorporating user-centred designprocesses and agile (scrum) methodologies.
• Expertise in UX software such as JustInMind, InVision, Sketch, Adobe, HTML5, CSS3 is an asset
