Overview

In this role you will lead user research to inform the design of digital products and services for government and private-sector clients. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to translate user needs into measurable outcomes, while collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure inclusive, usable solutions. You’ll apply diverse research methods and communicate insights to drive data-informed decisions. This position offers meaningful impact through user-centred design and rigorous evaluation in a fast-moving, agile environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute user research plans to generate actionable insights
  • Apply a range of user research methodologies and map stakeholder groups
  • Ensure ethical research practices and protect participant privacy; recruit diverse participants
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hypotheses and shape products/services
  • Lead and participate in remote and in-person usability testing across the agile lifecycle
  • Analyze and synthesize research data; present concise insights to stakeholders
  • Define metrics to evaluate impact and inform ongoing enhancements
  • Produce artefacts such as personas, journey maps, and user stories to communicate needs
  • Advocate for usability, accessibility, and inclusivity in products and services
  • Co-design and deliver solutions with agile teams; align with user needs
  • Support and coach teams in applying user research methods and synthesis techniques
  • Foster internal culture and contribute to Solirius’ growth initiatives
  • Desirable: awareness of Government Service Standard
Key requirements
  • Demonstrable experience developing and executing user research plans
  • Proficiency in multiple user research methodologies
  • Stakeholder mapping and engagement experience
  • Ethical research with a focus on privacy
  • Inclusive participant recruitment approaches
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to shape products/services
  • Experience with remote and in-person usability testing in Agile
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize findings and communicate insights clearly
  • Ability to define metrics to evaluate product impact
  • Experience with producing artefacts (personas, journey maps, user stories) and working with Agile teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong listening and facilitation skills
  • Collaborative and consultative mindset
  • Adaptable and proactive in fast-changing environments
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels
