Overview

In this Nationally based role, you will lead user research to inform and validate HMCTS’s user experience design. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team within DTS to help redesign services around user needs and advance evidence-driven, user-centred outcomes. You’ll work on diverse user groups, from staff to judges, contributing actionable insights that shape digital and non-digital services. Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute user research within a multidisciplinary team
  • Select appropriate research methods and conduct studies
  • Source participants and facilities for testing and research activities
  • Test service aspects and present findings to gain consensus
  • Develop insights that influence design decisions and product direction
  • Communicate insights to project teams and stakeholders for action
  • Maintain relationships across product teams and advocate for user-centred design
  • Work in agile environments and guide teams on user-centred practices
  • Be flexible with duties as reasonably required by management
Key requirements
  • Experience conducting primary public-facing qualitative research
  • Proficiency in selecting research methods to derive insights into user behaviour and needs
  • Strong research and analytical skills to synthesize data into actionable recommendations
  • Understanding of user-centred design principles and tools
  • Experience building consensus with stakeholders using evidence
