Utilities Vulnerability Assessment Engineer

to join our team supporting critical Department of War missions and infrastructure.
In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary assessment team to ensure mission continuity by evaluating the vulnerabilities and survivability of utilities and supporting infrastructure against a broad spectrum of threats, including accidents, natural disasters, technological failures, information system attacks, terrorism, radio frequency weapons (RFW), sabotage, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
Reviewing and assessing the utilities that support the customer’s missions, as well as the facilities and organizations that rely on them, using a consistent and repeatable assessment methodology.
Identifying all aspects of utility-related vulnerabilities and their potential impact on mission execution capability.
Providing technical support to operational equipment, mission personnel, and mission operations throughout the assessment process.
Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
~ Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, nuclear, marine engineering, or a closely related discipline.
~3+ years of experience in one or more of the following utility domains:
~ Electrical power systems:

commercial power, backup power generation, power distribution, and uninterruptible power systems.
~ Environmental control systems:

refrigerated cooling, heating, humidity control, and waste heat removal.
~ Life support systems:

fresh air ventilation, potable water, food support, and sewage.
~ Ancillary utility subsystems:

fuel, compressed air, vacuum, filtration, and specialized utilities such as cryogenics (e.g., Valid passport.
Ability to travel internationally up to 20%.
Ability to work in a hybrid role local to Fort Belvoir, VA; number of in-office days may vary based on mission needs.

Navy Nuclear Power Program, the U.Army Prime Power Program, or equivalent industry utilities experience.
Ability to accept worldwide deployments, including to high-threat permissive areas that may present some risk to personal safety.
Ability to adhere to CDC-recommended immunizations for worldwide travel.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
