Overview
In this role you lead the Sea Ceptor C2 validation and verification efforts, ensuring the C2 product meets its requirements and verification plans are agreed with the Design Authority. You will manage a small team, coordinate testing activities and reporting, and collaborate across the project to deliver validated software in a challenging defence environment. This position offers exposure to the full product lifecycle and impact on real-world capability. You will work in a dynamic, security-focused setting that values cross-functional collaboration and process improvement.

Responsibilities
- Lead a small team to execute DOORS Compliance Matrix activities and generate evidence of performance against requirements
- Analyze test results to validate C2 software operation
- Define software test scenarios and descriptions to support testing
- Support issue resolution during software testing
- Support production of technical, safety and security reports through evidence analysis
- Generate metrics reflecting work progress and status
- Engage with wider project stakeholders within the Weapon System design process
- Meet project schedules by reporting progress and predicting completion dates
- Manage change control processes and the embodiment of requirement changes
- Carry out process improvement tasks as designated by the Head of Sea Ceptor C2
Key requirements
- Knowledge of Validation and Verification processes
- Experience in developing software design baselines from requirements to test-ready products
- Ability to lead small teams to achieve outcomes
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
- Ability to analyse requirements, test evidence and technical reports
- Proficiency in DOORS, Rhapsody or similar engineering/configuration management tools
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) preferably in a STEM field
