Overview
As a Vehicle Performance Modelling Engineer, you will build and validate physics- and data-driven vehicle models for Wayve's end-to-end driving stack. You’ll translate models into efficient software components and verify accuracy with simulations and real-world data. You’ll collaborate with robotics, simulation, and product teams to shape online and offline vehicle representations. This role offers a chance to influence the future of vehicle dynamics at scale in a fast-paced, inclusive culture.
Responsibilities- Develop virtual vehicle models using physics-based and data-driven approaches
- Create detailed mathematical and physical models of vehicles and subsystems
- Validate models against on-road data and implement correlation improvements
- Implement models as efficient software components meeting accuracy, performance, and scalability needs
- Lead performance analysis through tools and experiments to assess on-road metrics
- Plan, execute and analyze experimental tests to improve model accuracy
- Communicate results and insights to stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive innovation
- Experience in developing mathematical models and simulation algorithms for vehicle dynamics, robotics or control systems
- Understanding of classical mechanics, numerical analysis and computational methods
- Experience in validating simulation models against experimental data
