Venture Fund Investments Associate

Analyze emerging venture capital funds at BDC as an Associate supporting pre-seed and seed investments through research, modeling, and judgment. Work within a hybrid model while contributing to Canadian entrepreneurship and innovation.

As an integral BDC Capital Fund Investments team member, you will support sourcing, evaluation, execution, and portfolio management. Your work will involve financial modeling, market analysis, investment memorandums, and relationships with emerging managers. You will help build a diversified portfolio focused on early-stage venture capital funds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen emerging fund managers and prioritize promising opportunities
• Evaluate investments, communicate with managers, and prepare recommendations
• Monitor portfolio funds, performance, reporting, and underlying companies
• Maintain monitoring systems and review quarterly and annual reports
• Research markets, benchmark performance, and build financial models

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent
• Three or more years of relevant work experience
• Strong research, financial modeling, and analytical skills
• Interest in venture capital and emerging fund managers
• Excellent English communication and organizational skills
