Vice President Accounting Controls

Lead accounting controls and IFRS governance as Vice President, Accounting, working hybrid with three onsite days weekly in Mississauga. Strengthen financial integrity across entities.

Reporting to the SVP, Controller, this senior leadership position oversees accounting and controllership functions. You will guide close processes, internal controls, audits, finance transformation, and systems enhancements. The role supports a growing Canadian financial services organization with consumer financing products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead corporate accounting, disbursements, assets, inventory, vendors, and expenses
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Strengthen IFRS policies, controls, and financial governance
• Coordinate external audits and resolve control deficiencies
• Develop the accounting team and promote operational excellence

Requirements:

• Ten-plus years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Significant leadership experience in complex, multi-entity environments
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly IFRS
• Experience with audits, internal controls, and financial governance
• Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex accounting matters
