Vice President, Endpoint Platform Engineering

Security Dispatcher – London, Ontario

Pay Rate: $22.13/hour

Job Description

• Responsible for monitoring access control systems, fire protection systems, CCTV, elevators and the overall safety of the building.
• Log information, dispatch the security and building operations teams accordingly, conduct various audits and ensure that security patrol duties are completed.
• Work closely with the security team to ensure all issues and emergency situations are addressed promptly and with care.
• Shifts are on a fixed rotation of two weeks days and two weeks of nights, between 10 to 30 hours each week.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) months experience as a control room operator/security dispatcher.
• Education in Emergency Telecommunications is considered an asset.
• Must be knowledgeable in various systems including but not not limited to fire and life safety systems, CCTV, Access control systems, Intercom systems.
• Ability to communicate well and be understood.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and high volumes of calls.
• Approaches situations with a listening mindset.
• Must be reliable, of sound character and a team-player.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft office and excel.
• Must be able to MULTITASK in a FAST-PACED environment.
