Vice President Finance

Sandpiper Hospitality is one of the fastest-growing and most admired companies in the midscale and economy extended stay hotel market. With 65+ properties in our portfolio of owned and managed hotels, we're growing, and we're looking for a finance leader to grow with us.

Headquartered in Richmond, VA , we're seeking a Vice President of Finance to join our home office leadership team.

The Role

Our next Vice President of Finance will be in a high-visibility, relationship-driven position. As the primary financial liaison for our third-party hotel ownership groups, you'll connect owners with our Operations, Accounting and InfoSync teams, and make sure everyone understands performance, cash needs and next steps.

What you'll do:

• Own the financial relationship with third-party ownership groups, setting reporting expectations and making sure questions get timely, coordinated answers
• Lead financial coordination for owner P&L review calls, partnering with Operations on performance explanations and corrective actions
• Translate financial results, cash forecasts and capital needs into clear, confident conversations with owners
• Lead the financial onboarding of newly managed properties, including transition planning, banking and merchant services, financial documents, payroll tax setup and insurance coverage
• Coordinate owner budgets, review meetings and approvals, and help resolve funding gaps
• Identify financial opportunities to improve property performance
• Mentor finance team members on property operations and owner communication

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of progressive experience in hospitality finance, accounting or asset management, including senior-level responsibility for owner or client relationships
• Strong command of hotel financial statements, cash flow, budgeting and capital planning
• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate across teams without relying on direct authority
• Sharp analytical skills, sound financial judgment and strong Excel and reporting-system proficiency

Preferred: CPA or other professional designation, and experience with third-party hotel management and financial onboarding

Role Logistics

• Location: Richmond, VA (home office)
• Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday
• Travel: Will be limited- to properties, owner meetings and onboarding activities
