VKS Application Engineering Leader - EMEA

Overview

In this leadership role, you will head the Application Engineering team for vSphere Kubernetes Service (vKS) in the EMEA region, aligning regional programs with Broadcom’s vKS vision. You will balance hands-on technical credibility with strategic leadership to drive enterprise adoption of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) with vKS as the standard Kubernetes platform. You’ll guide solution architecture across container-based apps, DevOps, and infrastructure, while building partnerships and shaping regional product feedback. This is a high-impact role focused on scaling adoption, leading a regional team, and influencing CIO/CTO roadmaps.

Responsibilities
  • Translate global vKS vision into regional programs with adoption, pipeline, and customer success metrics
  • Represent Broadcom in strategic accounts to position VCF + vKS as the enterprise Kubernetes platform of choice
  • Lead solution design across container-based applications, infrastructure, and DevOps with customer platforms teams
  • Partner with regional account executives for technical validation, presales success, and delivery handoffs
  • Capture customer insights to influence vKS and VCF product direction based on regional needs
  • Build, mentor, and scale a regional team of Application Engineers with best practices and enablement
  • Travel up to 50%
Key requirements
  • 10+ years in enterprise application engineering
  • 5+ years in cloud-native/Kubernetes platforms
  • Strong Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, Open Source tools background
  • Experience with Platform teams
  • CNCF certifications
  • Proven leadership of technical teams across a geographic region
  • Executive presence with ability to influence senior decision makers
  • Deep experience scaling Kubernetes, containers, or modern platforms in large regulated enterprises
  • Understanding of cloud-native architectures: microservices, APIs, CI/CD, event-driven designs
  • Technical expertise in Kubernetes, VCF, containers, and leading platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift)
  • Ability to understand and write YAML scripts
  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration across sales, BD, and delivery
