VMware Cloud Foundation Architect

VMware architecture and VCF 9.x expertise define this Edmonton contract assignment. Work onsite initially, with potential to become hybrid.

The VMware Architect/Implementer plans and executes an enterprise upgrade from vSphere 8 to VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x. This hands-on role spans multiple Canadian and U.S. data centres within an established solution architecture team. It focuses on implementation planning, workload migrations, and infrastructure documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute the enterprise upgrade to VCF 9.x
• Prepare implementation plans, test plans, schedules, and results
• Document transition-to-operations activities for infrastructure deliverables
• Review support processes against policies, standards, and regulations
• Contribute to continuity, security, and optimization risk mitigation

Requirements:

• VMware architecture, design, and implementation experience
• Direct vSphere-to-VCF 9.x upgrade experience
• Workload migration experience to VCF 9.x
• Strong SRM, NSX-T, vSphere, vSAN, and vLCM experience
• Seven to ten-plus years infrastructure experience, including four-plus VMware years
