VMware Cloud Foundation Architect Implementer

VMware architecture and VCF 9.x expertise define this Edmonton contract role. Work on-site, with potential to be hybrid, across complex enterprise infrastructure.

The experienced VMware Architect/Implementer will plan and execute an upgrade from vSphere 8 to VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x. The project spans multiple data centres in Canada and the U.S. It supports infrastructure initiatives within an established team of solution architects, requiring architecture, design, implementation, and workload migration experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute the enterprise upgrade to VCF 9.x
• Develop implementation plans, test plans, results, and schedules
• Prepare transition-to-operations documentation for infrastructure deliverables
• Review support processes against policies, standards, and regulations
• Contribute to continuity, security, and infrastructure optimization risk mitigation

Requirements:

• Direct experience upgrading VMware environments to VCF 9.x
• Experience migrating workloads to VCF 9.x platforms
• Strong VMware stack experience with SRM, NSX-T, vSphere, vSAN, and vLCM
• Seven to ten-plus years in IT infrastructure, including four-plus VMware years
• IT or Computer Science diploma or degree and clear technical communication
