Overview
As a VMware Cloud Foundation Consultant, you will lead design, build and modernization of enterprise private clouds on VCF 9.x. You work closely with cross-functional teams to shape architectures, perform hands-on builds, and automate operations. You’ll deliver high-quality artifacts, runbooks, and migration plans while coaching others. This role offers impact across architecture, automation, and platform guardrails within a collaborative, transformation-focused environment.
Responsibilities- Lead assessments and define future state VCF 9.x architectures
- Create high-level and low-level design documents, implementation plans, and runbooks
- Own VCF bring-up, SDDC Manager configuration, lifecycle and compliance
- Engineer NSX, vSAN, workload domain builds
- Design VCF operations, configurations and analysis
- Execute migrations using HCX/vMotion
- Automate day 0/1/2 operations with Terraform, Ansible, PowerCLI
- Enable modern workloads such as VKS and platform guardrails
- Deep VCF design, build and operational experience
- Strong NSX (T0/T1, DFW, VRFs, EVPN), vSAN (ESA/OSA)
- Automation experience with Terraform, Ansible, PowerCLI, APIs
- Observability experience with Aria Ops / Ops for Networks / Logs
- Migration experience with HCX
