About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing, multi-site healthcare services organization backed by a large strategic partner. The company supports independent physician groups with financial and operational infrastructure and has grown significantly through both acquisition and organic expansion in recent years.

Position Summary

The VP, Controller is a senior accounting leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This individual will oversee a large accounting organization of approximately 60–80 professionals, with several direct reports managing distinct functional areas. The role requires a leader who combines strong technical accounting judgment with the presence and communication skills to build trust and credibility across a rapidly scaling organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process across a large, multi-entity portfolio
• Manage and develop a multi-layered accounting team, including senior direct reports
• Drive standardization and automation initiatives across accounting processes and systems
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO on team priorities, structure, and talent development
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, and Corporate Development
• Support accounting integration for new acquisitions and business combinations
• Develop, communicate, and enforce financial reporting policies and internal controls
• Ensure timely, accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting deliverables

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive accounting leadership xhqgsiq experience, in public accounting and/or corporate accounting
• Demonstrated experience leading sizable, multi-layered accounting teams
• Big Four or large regional public accounting firm background preferred
• Active CPA license preferred, not required
• Healthcare or multi-site services industry experience a plus, not required
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
• Excellent communication and executive presence; comfortable engaging with non-financial stakeholders
• Proven ability to lead through growth, change, and organizational scaling
