VP Internal Audit

We are partnering with an established financial services organization seeking an experienced Vice President, Business Audit to join its Internal Audit function.

This is a senior, hands-on position offering broad audit coverage across multiple business and control functions, exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to manage and develop audit professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee end-to-end internal audits, including risk assessment, planning, execution, reporting and issue validation.
• Manage a diverse audit portfolio covering areas such as Third-Party Risk Management, Finance, Compliance, Operations and Corporate Functions.
• Review audit workpapers, findings and deliverables, ensuring quality and adherence to internal audit methodology.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to audit team members while remaining actively involved in audit delivery.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders, communicate audit findings and challenge the effectiveness of risk management and internal controls.
• Support audit planning, continuous monitoring and reporting to senior management and governance committees.

Ideal Background

• Established Internal Audit professional at VP, Senior Audit Manager or equivalent level within financial services.
• Strong experience managing complex audits across the full audit lifecycle.
• Broad audit exposure across different business areas, with the ability to quickly understand new subject matters.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or developing audit professionals; direct line-management experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills, with the confidence to challenge senior management. xhqgsiq
• CPA, CIA or equivalent qualification preferred.
