Windows Automation Engineer

As a Windows Automation Engineer at Quant Capital, you will design and implement automation for a mixed Windows/Linux platform in a high-tech trading environment. You’ll automate and maintain core OS, authentication, virtualization, and networking services across on‑premises and cloud contexts. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex infrastructure challenges and improve reliability and performance. This role offers exposure to cutting‑edge tooling and a fast-paced, highly capable tech culture. You’ll contribute to scalable platform engineering that supports mission-critical trading systems.

- Design, implementation, and integration of infrastructure systems on Windows-based platforms
- Maintain operating systems, authentication, databases, virtualization, network services, and endpoint management
- Support hybrid Windows/Linux environments across physical and virtual machines
- Work on platform engineering designs and automation to improve reliability and efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in on‑premises and cloud-based settings
- Troubleshoot complex issues using tracing tools and proven debugging approaches
- Leverage container technologies on Windows and Linux as needed
- Hands-on work in a demanding, agile, change-driven environment
- STEM degree
- Significant Windows systems automation experience
- PowerShell (C# exposure preferred)
- Deep understanding of Windows platform technologies (Active Directory, Failover Clustering)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; familiarity with tracing tools
- Experience with Windows Server applications and management tools (Exchange, SQL, SCCM, Hyper-V, ADFS)
- Knowledge of network protocols, Linux, and information security concepts
- Experience integrating systems across on‑premises and cloud environments
- Experience with containers on Windows and Linux
