In this role you will own and evolve the Windows infrastructure that underpins a fast-paced quant trading operation in London. You will maintain Windows servers and desktops across physical and virtual environments, focusing on reliability, deployment planning, and continuous improvement. You’ll leverage automation to streamline tasks and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a technology‑driven culture. - Manage and improve the Windows infrastructure (servers and desktops) across on-premises and virtual environments
- Plan, deploy, and execute deployments to support business continuity and scale
- Administer core services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) and related networking components
- Monitor hardware and tune performance to ensure optimal reliability
- Automate tasks and processes primarily with PowerShell
- Troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technology-first initiatives
- Maintain strong attention to detail in a demanding, jack‑of‑all‑trades setting
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012R2/2016
- Advanced PowerShell with a passion for automation
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory/DNS/DHCP
- Experience with hardware monitoring and performance tuning
- Networking experience and ability to operate in a mixed Windows/Linux environment
- Hands-on, detail-oriented with a capability to work in a fast-paced, agile setting
