Windows Build Engineer

We are currently recruiting for 2 x Windows Build & Deployment Engineers to join a large-scale technology transformation programme based in Loughborough.

The organisation, a well-known high street retailer, is moving from SCCM to Microsoft Intune and has approximately 700 devices that need to be physically rebuilt, configured and deployed as part of the project.

Working as part of the onsite deployment team, you will be responsible for preparing new HP laptops, building and configuring Windows 11 devices through Intune and supporting the rollout to end users.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Building and deploying Windows 11 laptops
• Device configuration and provisioning through Microsoft Intune
• Supporting the migration from SCCM to Intune
• Preparing and configuring new HP hardware
• Application deployment and device enrolment
• Troubleshooting build, deployment and configuration issues
• Ensuring devices are correctly configured and ready for end-user deployment
• Maintaining accurate build and deployment records
• Providing hands-on onsite support throughout the rollout

Skills & experience required:

• Previous experience within a Windows build, deployment or desktop engineering role
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
• Windows 10/11 build and deployment experience
• Experience with SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager
• Understanding of device enrolment, application deployment and endpoint configuration
• Active Directory / Entra ID knowledge
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable working within a high-volume device rollout environment
• Good communication skills and a hands-on approach
