In this role you enable reliable, high-performance trading infrastructure by owning hardware and automation in Windows and Linux environments. You will work closely with IT and Systems teams and hardware vendors to select and integrate the best options for end-users. You’ll diagnose and resolve hardware and driver issues while building PowerShell-driven automation to improve efficiency. The position sits in a fast-paced, tech-driven trading firm that values hands-on problem solving and continual learning. - Design and implement hardware solutions aligned with Windows and Linux environments
- Liaise with IT, Systems and hardware vendors to select and integrate hardware options
- Troubleshoot and resolve driver and hardware issues across desktop technologies
- Develop PowerShell automation to streamline tasks and deployments
- Create in-depth written assessments of hardware options and trade-offs
- Support end-users in a fast-paced, agile setting
- Collaborate on hardware-related projects and onboarding in a dynamic environment
- 7+ years in IT Support/Desktop role focused on hardware
- Deep hardware knowledge and desktop technology expertise
- Experience diagnosing and resolving driver issues in Windows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- PowerShell proficiency (a must)
- Strong understanding of hardware options and evaluation
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment
