Required Qualifications


Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in:



  • Finance and Computer Science (Double degree or combined program preferred)

  • Financial Engineering

  • Mathematical Finance

  • Risk Management

  • Quantitative Finance

  • Computer Science with a strong interest in financial markets

  • Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related disciplines


Demonstrated interest in both financial markets and technology. Basic understanding of financial concepts such as:



  • Fixed income securities

  • Interest rates and yield curves

  • Investment management

  • Financial markets and products

  • Risk management concepts


Basic programming skills, preferably in Python. Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Academic coursework or project experience in both finance and technology disciplines.

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following:


    • Asset Liability Management (ALM)

    • Market risk management

    • Fixed income analytics

    • Financial modeling

    • Quantitative analysis


  • Experience using Python libraries for data analysis (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).

  • Experience with databases, data engineering, or data visualization tools.

  • Exposure to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Generative AI technologies.

  • Familiarity with software development practices such as Git, testing, and version control.

  • Experience developing analytical, automation, or data-driven solutions through academic or personal projects.

We are particularly interested in students who can combine strong quantitative and technical capabilities with an understanding of financial markets. Candidates from Finance & Computer Science double-degree programs, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or Risk Management programs with strong programming skills are especially encouraged to apply.

Salary range is expected to be between: $40,950.00 CAD - $62,450 CAD The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro-rated based on the length of the work-term. The role being advertised is an existing vacancy.
