Workday Financials Data Principal Consultant

In this Principal Data Consultant role, you guide clients through Workday Financials implementations with a focus on data migration, validation, and optimization. You will work across multiple client projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and smooth system transitions. You’ll shape data strategies, develop migration templates, and leverage Workday tools to support tenant-to-tenant migrations. • Become a Workday Financials and Data expert across design, configuration, testing, and implementation
• Partner with project teams and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes across project phases
• Utilise Workday tools (iLoad, EIB, Object Transporter, Advanced Load, Migration Recipe) to support migrations
• Design and develop data tracking, reconciliation, and monitoring tools for finance data integrity
• Map and convert data sources into conversion templates aligned with Workday structures
• Guide data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading with auditability
• Support data migration activities including loading and aligning with business processes and security models
• Develop ETL processes and data transformation logic to normalise finance data
• Validate and reconcile financial data loaded into Workday with source systems
• Engage with clients throughout project lifecycle for smooth legacy-to-Workday transition
• Manage multiple tasks with limited direction and keep stakeholders informed
• Participate in training and knowledge-sharing to develop expertise

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, MIS, Finance, or related field
• 2–5 years of Workday Financials experience
• Experience with financial data domains (GL, transactions, reporting structures)
• Experience with data conversion, migration, and loading tools in ERP environments
• Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics and reporting (highly desirable)
• Strong Excel and data manipulation skills
• Working knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Eligibility for UK clearance (resided in the UK for last 5 years)
