Workday Financials Lead Consultant

In this role you will lead the Workday Financials implement and post-go-live support across global entities. You will collaborate with external consultants, drive system changes, and ensure seamless delivery through testing and change management. You’ll translate business needs into practical Workday solutions while fostering user adoption and maintaining up-to-date processes. The position sits at the intersection of finance, IT, and global deployment, offering scope to shape financial operations and system excellence.

• Support Day-to-day Workday Financials administration: security, configuration, and design
• Maintain and develop business processes across Workday Financials (core financials and expenses)
• Provide end-user support via Jira, resolving inquiries and issues promptly
• Collaborate with external Workday consultants and oversee tickets to resolution with proper change management and testing
• Engage with end-users and senior Finance to translate needs into streamlined solutions
• Lead requirements gathering sessions and design process flows
• Handle bi-annual Workday releases, plan, test, and deliver new functionality
• Conduct functional workshops and train users on Workday transactions
• Identify local regulatory exceptions with overseas teams within the global template
• Perform functional testing and create testing scripts
• Create and maintain clear process documentation for changes and testing
• Contribute to Change Management planning to support solution adoption
• Carry out ad hoc duties to meet business needs

• Proven experience leading Workday projects or other Finance systems
• Workday analyst experience with strong transactional background
• Multiple system implementation project experience including integrations
• Workday certifications are advantageous
• Experience with Workday security, configuration, and design
• Ability to gather requirements and design process flows
• Experience with testing, releases, and change management
• Strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of end-user training and workshop facilitation
• Experience with Jira for issue tracking
• Understanding of local regulatory considerations within a global template
